The Summer Dance Intensive Junior at Class Act Studios offers dedicated dancers aged 10 and up, who have achieved RAD Ballet Grades 3 and above, a unique opportunity to focus on technique enhancement and artistic growth. This program delves deep into ballet, pre-pointe work, Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT), Floor Barre, and contemporary dance, aiming to refine skills and cultivate a profound appreciation for dance as an art form. DATES & SCHEDULES: Participants can sign up for each week individually, tailoring their summer training to fit their goals and schedules. The classes are scheduled for: July 30 & August 01 August 06 & 08 August 13 & 15 Each session includes: 1:00pm-2:15pm: Ballet 2:15pm-3:00pm: Pre-Pointe Work 3:00pm-3:15pm: Break 3:15pm-4:00pm: Contemporary 4:00pm-4:45pm: PBT (Tuesdays) / Floor Barre (Thursdays) This intensive is designed not only to build technical skills but also to encourage self-expression and creativity in a focused and professional setting. DRESS CODE: Any style or colour bodysuit Pink ballet tights Pink ballet shoes Hair pulled back into a well-secured bun Socks are required for PBT and Floor Barre sessions. WHAT TO BRING: Water Bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the training. Healthy, Peanut-Free Snacks: Keep energy up. Notebooks and Pens: For note-taking during feedback and theoretical discussions.
